what we do
WEST END experience SCHOOLS WORKSHOPS
West End Spotlight Schools Workshops are streamlined dance and drama workshops for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 students, bringing the magic of the West End stage to your school. We provide our own sound system and our instructor will lead the groups through the material using a combination of the children's own ideas and set choreography and character work.
We normally lead up to seven self contained workshops (30-40 mins each) in your school hall, which are structured to reach one whole form entry school in a day. Half day workshops are also available.
Our West End Workshop Leaders also lead an optional dynamic dance based morning assembly to introduce themselves to the students, get them moving, and inspire them for the activities to come that day.
Students will learn a dance sequence which brings to life the theme of the workshop be it a book, cultural event or mini musical. We encourage individual expression so every young person will be involved in its creation and have their moment 'in the spotlight' too.
